The fabric featured in the mystery series is Vintage Modern by Moda fabrics designed by the very pretty mother daughter team of Bonnie and Camille.
If you are looking for the definition of Vintage Modern you will not find it in a dictionary.
Google it and you will not find an actual definition either.
My definition would be to take something vintage that is classic and timeless and add something new and trendy for the modern part of Vintage Modern.
Our task was to find a piece of clothing in our closets that was Vintage Modern.
Let's review:
I live in an 1890's house.
No closets. (My closet is an antique wardrobe that measures just 5 feet across.)
Not even a coat closet.
Therefore I do not keep my old clothing. When I buy something I donate something old.
Sooo my choices were very limited.
This is a snippet of my item.
The item was purchased at a store that is called by a different name today.
The item was purchased 30 years ago.
Audrey would have only worn this with brown - but not brown diamonds.
Someday my daughter might wear this item.

You know it looks a little like fur and the "cut" is chevron with the angles and Audry did wear a fur stole. But it also looks like a very, very close up photo of something knitted in brown. Hmmm..

I think it's a fur something...wrap, stole, hat, coat! These puzzles keep getting tougher!
At first I thought it could be a mink stole but rethinking, could it be a muff. Oh I forget what they are called, but you put your hands in to keep them war.

My initial guess would be a fur coat or wrap/stole. Your 2nd clue was purchased 30 yrs. ago so could not of been a hand me down/keepsake as mine was. Next best thing I could think of was you purcahsed it at thrift or secon hand store which today are called newly used boutiques. I am not a gambler i will stay with original guess fur coat/wrap plus you gave me some wonderful memories I have forgotten about. Thanks for the opportunity to win
